Exploring the Influence of Students’ Digital Skills and Technology-Enhanced Learning on Drug-Related Information Resources in the AIDriven Digital Age: A Study of Selected Pharmacy Institutes in India

This study explores how digital skills of students and their technology-enabled learning affect access to drug-related information in the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI), using data from 1,430 respondents. Reliability and validity tests verified the measurement model. Results showed that comfort and confidence in digital skills, mainly influenced by device ratings and usage, are key for preferring digital sources. Smartphones were most used and rated for academics, but many students felt uneasy about digital platforms, especially about advanced skills. Gender and nativity significantly affect device use and confidence, while semester differences are minimal. The model fits well, and hypothesis testing shows positive relationships among constructs. These findings call for programs to improve digital skills and bridge the gap between device familiarity and digital learning, thereby encouraging greater use of digital resources for academic purposes.
